In a 1994 episode of Saturday Night Live, weekend update anchor Norm MacDonald joked that, “A new FBI study shows that, for the first time, Americans are more likely to be killed by a stranger than a loved one or acquaintance. Their advice: introduce yourself to as many people as possible.”
While the advice was a little facetious, there are actually plenty of good reasons to talk to strangers. In a new article I wrote for a great site called The Daily Positive, I look at 5 reasons we might want to follow Norm’s advice and start introducing ourselves to more people.
